Oseni Enters Oyo South Senatorial Race, Says Its a "Divine Assignment"



Honourable Aderemi Oseni, who represents the Ido/Ibarapa Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives has formally declared his intention to contest the Oyo South Senatorial seat in the 2027 general elections.

Speaking at his official declaration in Ibadan on Sunday, Oseni averred that his ambition is driven by service, not personal gain. He described his political journey as one built on purpose and responsibility, noting that his grassroots movement has grown into a strong statewide structure.

Highlighting his record, Oseni pointed to infrastructure projects, school and healthcare interventions, empowerment programmes for youths and women, and legislative efforts focused on road maintenance and improved healthcare access. "I am here to tell you that I have served and I am ready to serve again with even greater  responsibility", he said. 


He confirmed that his political structure now spans all the 33 local government areas in Oyo State and pledged continued support for the All Progressives Congress (APC), including mobilization for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.

Honourable Oseni, who stated that through his empowerment programmes, youth in his constituency are driving the local economy , promised to focus on education, healthcare, job creation, and youth empowerment if elected. He also disclosed that if he is elected, more federal projects would be attracted to Oyo South Senatorial District. 


Senator Sharafadeen Alli, who was also present at the declaration, urged party members to support Oseni, who he described as a loyal party figure with strong grassroots appeal.
