Makinde Appoints Governing Council Chairmen For Oyo Institutions



Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde on Monday, appointed members into the Governing Councils of three tertiary institutions in the state. 

The appointments were announced via a letter by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Honourable Segun Ogunwuyi. 

Professor Ayodeji Omole was reappointed as the Chairman of the Governing Council of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso while Mrs Titilayo Ahnadu, Mr. Ìdòwú Olukunle Adeosun, Dr. Teslim Adediran and Mr. Jelili Bamidele Busari were appointed as members of the Council. 

 Their appointments take effect on 1st April, 2025. 

The Governor also approved the appointment of the immediate past Chief Excecutive Officer of First Bank Nigeria Limited, Dr. Adesola Kazeem Adeduntan as the Chairman of the Governing Council of Abiola Ajimobi Technical University. A former member of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Honourable Seyi Adisa, Prof Samson Ojoawo, Dr Aminat Adekemi Ahmed and Prof Mojeed Akinsola were appointed as members of the Council, the tenure of which takes effect immediately. 

Professor Kazeem Adebiyi was relatedly appointed as Chairman of the Board of the Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic, Eruwa to serve out the tenure of Prof Abiodun Ojo, the former Chairman who passed on last year. His appointment too is with immediate effect. 

The Governor has urged the appointees to discharge their duties with commitment and loyalty to the state.
