DEAR DEIDRE: I COMPLAINED to my husband after we stopped having sex. We were then intimate again . . . but just the once. Now it’s been another 16 months without sex.
I’m a woman of 36. My husband is 56. When I told him I was unhappy, he said he didn’t know why the intimacy had stopped. He asked me if I was going to leave.
I said I didn’t want to and he made the one-off effort then.
I thought there would be a change but he still turns his back on me in bed.
We kiss and cuddle but that is where it ends. Our sex life is now non-existent.
DEIDRE SAYS: There are many health issues that can affect libido or cause erection problems. Insist he sees his GP for a health check. If the results are clear, you know it is a psychological issue – or maybe he has been using too much pornography.
My e-leaflet on Sex-Play Therapy can help.
