DEAR DEIDRE: WE haven’t had sex for more than a week and I don’t know why my husband has lost interest in me.
We’ve been married for 15 years and have two daughters both in their teens.
Up until now we’ve had sex at least two or three times a week, except for a few weeks when our girls were born.
I’ve been giving him all the usual signs but he’s been making a joke and just going to sleep. I felt really hurt and I asked him why he was turning me down.
He said: “We aren’t 16 any more, we are both 42 and we need to grow up and accept that.”
I don’t understand why he’s being like this.
DEIDRE SAYS: You have a track record of regular sex so don’t pressurise your husband if he is off sex for only a week. He may be unusually tired.
Show him affection without expecting sex and you’ll likely find him back on form before long.
If not, then do urge him to see his GP.
