Osinbajo, Others Present as Tinubu Receives Certificate of Return

Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo was one of those who graced the presentation ceremony as Nigeria's President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his running mate, Kashim Shettima received their certificates of return.

The Vice President had been conspicuously absent at Tinubu's campaign rallies and town hall meetings, fueling speculations that bad blood might have been generated after the Vice President's loss at the All Progressives Congress shadow elections.

After the presentation, Asiwaju Tinubu remarked that "the road has been long yet we walked it, the battle has been hard fought, yet we won it. Now I have realised that I am just a servant of the larger purpose".

He went on to charge youths on perseverance as he said "this certificate symbolizes that you are capable of achieving whatever you have thought was impossible. I am not special, if I can do this, you can do better. You must do better.

"We want to join hands in this common endeavour to move the country forward. In one phrase, I am asking you to work with me. Where there is poverty, let us create prosperity and jobs, where there is brutality, let us replace it with brotherhood, where there is violence, we may establish peace".
