Oyo Lawmaker, Yusuf Adebisi's Vocational Training Debuts in Ibadan

The Member of the Oyo State House of Assembly, representing Ibadan South West State Constituency 1, Hon. Yusuf Adebisi has completed arrangements to unveil the first set of beneficiaries of his vocational training programme.


The Media Assistant to the lawmaker, Tope Eluyefa, disclosed that the training will be holding on Saturday, August 24th, 2019 at Vocational Training and Education Centre, Popoyemoja, Ibadan.

Hon. Adebisi, who is the Deputy Chief Whip, had  earlier stated that the vocational  training programme, which will be periodical for indigenes and youths in the constituency, will feature vocations like computer engineering, tailoring, hairdressing and soap making.

Also included in the programme is bead making, perfume making as well as free coaching classes for primary and secondary school students.

 The lawmaker, who is also the Vice Chairman, Committee on Youths and Sports, said that the programme is in line with  the promises he made  during the electioneering campaign to use resources at his disposal to make jobs available for youths in his constituency.

He promised to procure necessary tools for all the participants irrespective of vocations undertaken to allow them to start their businesses immediately after training programme.

Few weeks ago, Adebisi facilitated the distribution of free birthing kits to about 500 expectant mothers in his constituency.
