Ode Omi Kidnapping: How Ogun CP Led Rescue Operation

The trio of Adamson Bamidele, Adam Jelili and Sanni Azeez, kidnapped at Ode Omi in Ijebu Waterside on Sunday 11th, August was rescued on Friday morning by men of the Ogun State Police Command.
The Command’s spokesman, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, who confirmed the rescue, disclosed that “the victims were rescued following intensive pursuit of the hoodlums who took them to the creeks”.

Oyeyemi said “the police operation which was personally led by the Commissioner of Police, CP Bashir Makama made use of a police helicopter for aerial surveillance of the creek where the hoodlums were tracked to, and when the heat was too much on them, they were left with no other option than to release their captives. The victims have since been reunited with their families”.
The command confirmed that one suspect has been arrested in connection with the case while efforts are on to apprehend the remaining members of the gang.
CP Makama has ordered the Anti-kidnapping team as well as other tactical squads in the command to do everything possible to bring the hoodlums to book.
