Arisekola Asks Makinde to Revisit Igbo Ora Killings, Bring Killer Politicians to Book

Famed businessman and publisher of The Street Journal Magazine, Wọlé Ariṣekọla has called on Governor Seyi Makinde to set up a commision of enquiry to unravel the killings that happened in Igbo Ora, Ibarapa Central Local Government Area during the last general election.
"The killers and their sponsors should be made to face the full weight of the law", Ariṣekọla said while speaking to our reporter.  It will be recalled that no fewer than two people lost their lives while many were injured during a campaign rally of the All Progressives Congress in February.
Guns, machetes and other weapons were freely used in the violence that marred the Igbo Ora campaign.
The Dublin based businessman said "the Ibarapa zone of the state was thrown into mourning by the incident during the last general election. Some families may never recover from the effect of that dastardly act. Politicians and everyone sponsoring criminals must be arrested and charged for their culpability in the deaths and injury of several persons on their  campaign trail.
“It is absurdly reprehensible that innocent people can be killed and their killers will be walking free as if nothing has happened.  Human lives matter and Governor Makinde should bring the perpetrators of this evil act to book to serve as a detterent to others.
Allowing killers to walk freely in a sane environment is nothing but a recipe for disaster. And since security is one of the areas his administration promised to focus on, the Governor needs to act, and fast too", Ariṣekọla said.
