Ogun Police Arrest Herbalist With Fake Currencies

Men of the Ogun State Police Command have arrested a 41-year old self-acclaimed herbalist, Bidemi Idowu with local and various foreign currencies suspected to be fake.
According to the Command's spokesman, ASP Abimbola Oyeyemi, "trouble started for the herbalist cum fraudster when one Basiru Amosun reported at Imeko Divisional headquarters on the 21st November that the suspect fraudulently collected the sum of  N 400,000 from his 21-year-old son, Habeeb Amosun under the pretence of preparing a money doubling charm for him.
Consequently, he gave a drinking concoction to the victim which made him develop serious stomach disorder".
Oyeyemi further stated that "upon the report, the DPO, CSP Ajose Muhammed detailed detectives to effect the arrest of the suspect with a warrant to search his house. On searching the house, the sum of N 400,000 allegedly collected from the victim was recovered. Also recovered  are 59 pieces of 1,000 fake CFA, I piece of 50 US Dollars, 600 pieces of fake N1,0000 notes and assorted charms".
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, CP Ahmed Iliyasu has directed that the suspect be charged to court as soon as investigation is concluded. He equally appealed to parents to educate their children on the reasons they should desist from unnecessary quest for quick money.
