Ogun Police Read Riot Act To Transport Unions

The
Ogun State Police Command on Friday read the riot act to transport unions in the state, following reports that some splinter groups are out to form parallel unions.
The warning was contained in a statement signed by ASP Abimbola Oyeyemi, the Command's Public Relations Officer. Belowbis the text of the statement:

"The attention of Ogun State Police Command has been drawn to moves by some unscrupulous elements to foment trouble and destabilize the peace of the state.

 The group, it was gathered is aiming at forming a parallel transport organization other than the ones recognized by the State Government and forcefully take over some motor parks in the state thereby unleashing mayhem on innocent residents of the state.
The command hereby wishes to state unequivocally that anybody or group who foments trouble under any guise in any part of the state will be decisively dealt with according to the law.
The transport unions recognized by the State Government are: N.U.R.T.W, RTEAN, ACOMORAN, AMORAN and TORAN. If any other union is to be formed, such union should pass through the normal legislative procedure of the state. To be fore warned is to be fore armed".
