2 Arrested For Armed Robbery, Murder in Ogun

The Ogun State Police Command on Wednesday, 9th November, 2016 arrested two armed robbers who are members of a four man robbery gang that robbed one Brahimo Nurudeen of No. 14, Rev. Gbogboade Street, Elerinko, Ijoko. 
Shedding more light on the arrest, the Command's spokesman, ASP Abimbola Oyeyemi stated that "the gang, armed with dangerous weapons busted into the shop of their victim at about 7.35pm and robbed him of his money and handset. In their bid to escape, one of them shot one Suleman Arogundade on the head before they ran away. 
 On getting the information, the Anti-robbery team at Sango Divisional Headquarters were led to the scene by their DPO, SP Ogunwale Akinsola, cordoned off the area and were able to arrest two of the suspects namely; Okedele Abayomi and Adeboye Demola". 
He listed items recovered from them as one locally made pistol, one axe, six phones, one knife, one hammer and assorted charms. 
He also disclosed that "the injured victim was rushed to General Hospital, Otta for treatment but later died while receiving medical attention".  
The Commissioner of Police, CP Ahmed Iliyasu, who commended his men for their quick response to the distress call has ordered that the suspects be transferred to FSARS for discrete investigation as well as the intensification of efforts to arrest the fleeing members of the gang.
