The High Court siting at Ring Road, Ibadan on Monday sentenced a former Chairman of the Oyo State chapter of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW, Alhaji Mukaila Lamidi a.k.a Auxiliary and other four members to six years imprisonment.
The accused persons, Mukaila Lamidi, Saidi Kareem, Taiwo Tijani (now deceased), Abu Kareem and Kazeem Kayode have been facing a three count charge of conspiracy, murder and attempted murder since 2014.

In her judgment, Justice Eni Esan cleared the accused persons of murder and attempted murder because of the inability of the prosecuting counsel to prove the case beyond reasonable doubt.
She however, found them guilty of conspiracy and thereby sentenced each of them to six years jail term without an option of fine.
Meanwhile, counsels to the accused persons, Olalekan Ojo and Kayode Bakare have promised to appeal the judgment as pronounced by Justice Eni Esan.
