"We'll sniff kidnappers out of Ogun", CP Ali vows


The
Commissioner of Police Ogun State, CP Abdulmajid Ali has vowed again to sniff out kidnappers and criminals out of Ogun State with the adoption  and implementation of modern  policing  strategies.

The police boss made this known on Tuesday while addressing  officers, men and community leaders in Ijebu Ode area at Odogbolu and Ago Iwoye as part of his ongoing tour of inspection to Ijebu Ode Area Command of the state


The Commissioner of Police laid emphasis on adequate  patrol of the highways in Ijebu and other feeder roads linking  Ogun State with neighboring states, and constant raid of black spots with a view to flushing out criminals from Ijebu Ode area and Ogun State in general.

The community leaders appreciated the Commissioner of Police for his visit and vision to reduce crime rate in the area.  The Police Community Relations Committee chairman Odogbolu Elder B.O Jayesinmi however requested for creation of additional Divisions and Police stations in the area for many structures have been put in place to actualize the creation.

The police boss challenged the Divisional Police Officers in Odogbolu and Ago Iwoye and other ones in the command to embrace paradigm  shift in the police and accept modern  policing  concepts being initiated by the Inspector General of Police IGP Solomon Arase.

CP Ali also visited the traditional  rulers in the areas, prominent indigenes and the Vice Chancellor, Tai Solarin University  of Education Ijebu Ode, where the Commissioner of Police and the Vice Chancellor with her management team had a closed door  meeting  to discuss security matters on the campus particularly the fight against cultism.
