Asks if ransom was paid...
The Osun State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has commended the police and other security agencies that effected the release of the kidnapped officials of the state government.
While rejoicing with the families of the released officials and the Osun State government, in a statement signed by Prince Diran Odeyemi, its spokesman, the party urged the State Government "to come clean and clear on the issue of their release for the purpose of accountability and transparency.
Though no price will be too much to pay for the safety of the kidnapped officials but we still believe that the Government should let the public know if ransom was paid and how much, if vital financial documents are missing or not"
"We also commend Osun and Kogi State journalists for their efforts and professionalism which in no small way must have assisted in effecting the release of the officials", Odeyemi stated.
