Amosun laments famous educationist, Dotun Oyewole's death

Senator Ibikunle Amosun, the Governor of Ogun State, has lamented the death of renowned educationist, Dotun Oyewole.
In a condolence message to the family of the deceased, the Governor described the death of Oyweole, a famous Egba born educationist as 'a painful, yet inevitable loss".
Governor Amosun noted that Dotun Oyewole and his twin, Femi, “lived an impactful and fulfilling life,” as they contributed immensely to the educational development of the state and Nigeria in general. “It was in recognition of this fact that we recently named the newly built Model School at Kobape after Femi and Dotun Oyewole”, Amosun said.

The governor expressed happiness that his administration was able to celebrate and immortalize the Oyewole twins with the commissioning of an ultra-modern model school which was commissioned last month  by President Muhammadu Buhari as part of activities to mark the 40th anniversary of Ogun State.
The last of the Oyewoles died last Sunday at the age of 94, 10 years after his twin brother died in Abeokuta.  Femi died at the age of 84.
The Oyewoles, who were known as famous science teachers at Abeokuta Grammar School, their alma mater, had written many textbooks, particularly in Physics and Chemistry for use in Nigerian schools.
The twins also founded Abeokuta Continuing Education Center, Abeokuta, the tutorial center for remedial classes for certain categories of secondary school leavers.
