Wenger: Its more difficult to prepare for Hull than Barcelona

boss Arsene Wenger has suggested that the squad found it more difficult to prepare for the FA Cup clash with Hull City than they did for the Champions League last-16 tie with Barcelona.

The Gunners drew 0-0 with Steve Bruce's Hull side, meaning that they will have to take part in a reply, but the Frenchman indicated that the players are naturally focussed ahead of the Blaugrana game, making the job of motivating the squad a lot easier.


Speaking at a media conference ahead of the match, Wenger said: "It’s more difficult to prepare against Hull than Barcelona.

"Against Barcelona, everyone is focussed naturally so it’s more about creating belief and confidence because Barcelona are super favourites for this game.

"For Hull it’s about raising the urgency level. Tomorrow everyone is convinced that ewe have to be totally focussed to have a chance. I try to raise that belief and confidence - let’s go for it."
