"Ronaldo, Messi Not Among World's Best"- Romario

Neither Cristiano Ronaldo nor Lionel Messi are among the five best players to ever live, according to the 1994 Fifa World Player of the Year winner Romario.
The former Brazil international, who ranked himself second on his shortlist only to compatriot Pele, believes Ronaldo and Messi - winners of the last six Ballon d'Or awards - do not deserve a place amongst the world's best.
Diego Maradona trailed Romario on his ranking, with fellow Brazilian Ronaldo and France international Zinedine Zidane making up the top-five spots.

The 50-year-old ex-Barcelona striker feels he merits being ranked alongside footballing legends.

He told Esporte Pono Final, "I think I deserve to be on the list for my height, for the things that I did, for not being an athlete and to get where I got"
Messi, 28, netted his 301st goal for Barca in the 3-1 win over Sporting Gijon last weekend, however, it is his team-mate Neymar who Romario believes can overtake Messi as the world's best.
