Briton Jailed for Murdering Wife & Packing Her Body Inside Suitcase

A
BRITISH businessman who murdered his wife on a Caribbean island before packing her body into a small suitcase and dumping it in a shallow grave has been jailed for 67 years.
Alexander Clack, 34, battered and strangled Nixiann Downes-Clack in front of their their two-year-old daughter.
Deranged Clack murdered his 27-year-old wife when she threatened to leave him after he had an affair with the couple's 17-year-old babysitter.

The
ex-prison officer from London killed her on their fourth wedding anniversary in June 2014.
Her corpse was found in a suitcase in a shallow grave on the outskirts of the island's capital St George's five days later.
Clack, who owned SGU fish market on the island, sobbed in court and said he loved the wife he murdered and never intended to kill her.
But Grenada High Court's Chief Judge, Justice Paula Gilford, was not convinced Clack was remorseful and jailed him for life with a fixed term of 67 years and six months.
Tragic Mrs Downes-Clack, 27, was from Grenada but grew up in London where she met Clack before they emigrated to Grenada in 2009.
A post-mortem revealed she died of blunt force trauma and asphyxiation by strangulation.
After his arrest Clack was charged with "non-capital murder".
The charge in 2014 meant he could not be given the death penalty if convicted.
