"Abducted" 14-year-old bride, Ese Oruru finally rescued

Anchor Online has gathered that Ese Oruru, the abducted 14-year-old bride allegedly hidden in the Emir of Kano's palace has been rescued from her abductor. The development followed a directive on Monday afternoon by the Inspector General of Police to the Commissioner of Police, Kano State, Mohammed Katsina to liase with the State’s Emirate Council and relevant persons.


Force Public relations Officer, ACP Olabisi Kolawole, who confirmed the rescue over the ohone disclosed that the Inspector General of Police has directed that Ese Oruru be given protection adding that she will be flown to Abuja on Tuesday to be re-united with her family.

It was gathered that the IGP has made adequate arrangements to move the family to Abuja to re-unite with their daughter.
