Police Arrest 6 Suspected Armed Robbers in Ogun

In what seems to be a confirmation of the solid arrangement it has put in place to secure Ogun State before and after the yuletide period, operatives attached to Onipanu Division of the Ogun State Police Command, on Friday arrested 6 suspected armed robbers who according to the Command's Public Relations Officer, DSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, "specialized in robbery and snatching cars at Ire-Akari Community and in entire Ado Odo Ota Local Government Area of Ogin State".
He disclosed to The Anchor Online that "the suspects were arrested by the police operatives after a tip-off from the community and fierce surveillance placed on the suspects throughout the night,after their operations in the same area, before the arrest  at about 0500 hrs.

At least 4 of the suspected armed robbers,whose syndicate has been terrorising the area for a while,have been identified by victims of their various operations all over the Local Government Area and beyond".

The names of the suspects were given as Temituru Oluwafemi,Ibrahim Hakeem, Bablola Olufujabi, Ajadi Adesoji,Taye Ogede and Bakare Sakiru.
"Their operation vehicle, a black Volkswagen Golf 3 with registration number  LSR 86 CA , dangerous weapons and assorted charms were recovered from them", Adejobi stated.

The Commissioner of police Ogun State,CP Abdulmajid Ali,has directed that the suspects be transferred to the Department of Criminal Investigation and Intelligance Eleweran Abeokuta  for proper investigation and prosecution. The Commissioner of Police has emphasized on robust intelligence-driven and community-based policing as acceptable and effective tool towards adequate security in Ogun State.
