PDP Pledges Support for Health Minister, Adewole

The Osun State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has urged the newly appointed Minister of Health, Prof. Isaac Adewole, not to see himself as minister of Osun APC, but as a professional chosen to salvage the nation's health sector.

This was contained in a statement issued in Osogbo by Osun State PDP spokesperson Prince Diran Odeyemi, who said party affiliation apart, Adewole has necessary qualities to revive the hailing nation's health sector.
The PDP said from his antecedents, the former Vice Chancellor, University of Ibadan, is a thorough bred professional with wide range experience that can return glory days to Nigeria's health sector. 
It however warned the minister to always see himself as representing all the people of Osun and not a section or party.
The statement reads: " we are aware of the opposition Prof. Adewole faced from members of APC before he eventually scaled the hurdle and became minister.
"We hope he has learnt from his travails in the hands of this particular set of people and we in PDP implore him to strive to be a good representative of Osun in the federal cabinet and never to allow few selfish ones that opposed his emergence to hijack and make him see others that do not belong to their fold as enemies."
"We congratulate and wish him a successful tenure of office. We also pledge out support whenever such is requested to assist the him in his critical assignment."
