Appeal Court Stops Bukola Saraki's Arrest!

The drama being generated by the bench warrant issued against the President of the Senate by the Code of Conduct Tribunal is far from being over as the Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja has granted a stay of execution of the order.
The Cable reported that the order was issued on Monday morning.

The Tribunal had ordered the arrest of the Senate President after his failure to appear before it on Friday.
Saraki has opined that the Tribunal acted under external influence and that he has done no wrong especially as he had declared his assets at different times in 2003, 2007 and 2011. Accusing fingers were pointed at the Presidency as being the brain behind Saraki's ordeal. Meanwhile, Garba Shehu, a Presidential spokesman on Sunday absolved the President of any blame in Saraki's issue.
