Nick Gordon, the boyfriend of the late Bobbi Kristina Brown, drugged her
and placed her face-down in the bathtub where she was found
unresponsive in her Georgia home, according to an amended civil lawsuit
filed Friday.
In the updated complaint filed
in the Superior Court of Georgia’s Fulton County, Bedelia C. Hargrove,
Brown’s court-appointed conservator, claimed that Gordon came home
around 6 a.m. on the morning of Jan. 31, 2015, after partying “all-night
on a cocaine and drinking binge” and grew angry after reviewing camera
footage.
After accusing Brown of being
unfaithful, the lawsuit claims, Gordon called her a “whore” and “bitch.”
The new filing alleges that at some point during the argument Gordon
“gave Bobbi Kristina a toxic cocktail rendering her unconscious and then
put her face down in a tub of cold water.”
Brown, the daughter of singers
Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston, died July 26 at a hospice in Georgia,
after clinging to life for six months. She was 22.
Houston died in 2012 at age 48. She was also found in a bathtub.
Hargrove filed the initial suit
against Gordon in June, claiming that he had been physically abusive to
Brown and transferred funds out of her bank account without her
permission.
The amended complaint added a
wrongful death count to previous accusations of assault, battery,
intentional infliction of emotional distress, and transferring money
without authorization.
No criminal charges have been filed against Gordon.
Gordon has retained criminal defense attorney Jose Baez, who successfully defended Casey Anthony in her 2011 murder case.
