Disregard Rumours of Aliance, Akala Tells LP Supporters

The governorship candidate of the Labour Party in Oyo State, Otunba Adebayo Alao Akala has urged the people of Oyo State to disregard any news of an alliance with any political party or stepping down for any gubernatorial candidate in the forthcoming election.
Otunba Alao Akala, in a press statement signed by his campaign organization’s Director of Public
Affairs, Comrade Oludare Ogunlana, said the news making the rounds is just a figment of the imagination of the All Progressives Congress which he said is already jittery about losing the governorship election.
The statement read in part, "we in Labour Party have not at any time engaged or entered into an agreement of merging with any political parties as we are confident of winning the next election as the people of the state have also resolved to effect change in Oyo State by relieving Senator Abiola Ajimobi led administration of their inhuman administration and return the government with human face of Alao Akala".

Otunba Alao Akala stated further that " the people of Oyo State should also ensure proper identification of the Assistant Registration officers and other Adhoc staff of the independent Electoral Commission posted to their domain as many of them are paid agents of the All Progressive Congress who were injected into the system in connivance with some bad eggs at the state INEC office".
The former governor also urged the people and  security agencies in the state to ensure proper monitoring of the distribution of election materials so as to avoid the occurrence of what transpired in the last election when election materials meant for some areas were tampered with.
While reiterating his commitment to effectively serve the people and restore the state to the path of economic prosperity, Otunba Alao Akala said " I am committed to ensure a greater Oyo State and this can only be achieved through effective administration and prudent management of resources as well as infrastructural build up and formulation and implementation of programs and policies that will make life better for all and sundry'.
The former Governor also promised to ensure proper beautification of Ibadan and ensure the interior and rural roads as well as those in major town and cities are given facelift so as to make them accessible for growth and development.
He urged the people of the state to vote for the gubernatorial and State House of Assembly candidates of the Labour Party for  genuine development and effective administration that will return smiles to the faces of the people .
