Akala Debunks Ill-Health Rumour, Says "I Did Not Collapse"

Former Governor of Oyo State and Labour Party governorship candidate, Otunba Adebayo Alao-Akala has debunked rumours concerning his health. The former Governor sent a message to his supporters via his Twitter account on Thursday that rumours about his health should be ignored. "Please ignore the rumour being peddled around. I did not collapse, neither am I sick. I will be campaigning at Ibadan North LG this morning".

Rumours had taken over Ibadan and other parts of Oyo State that the former Governor had health issues, including a recurrent back pain which has allegedly made him unable to stand up for long at campaign rallies. It was also said that these days, he usually sits on top of the SUV that leads his campaign, instead of standing and waving to people.
Till date, Akala is the longest serving Governor in Oyo State, having ruled for a total of 4 years and 11 months.
