30 Feared Killed as Suicide Bomber Hits Market in Maiduguri

No fewer than 30 people are believed to have lost their lives in what seemed to be a series of coordinated attacks in Borno State. A suicide bomber attempted to ride a bomb-laden tricycle into the fish market on Baga Road.
Security men at the entrance of the market reportedly prevented the rider from entering without being duly checked. The Anchor Online gathered that when the suicide bomber found out that he might not be able to access the market, he detonated the explosives killing close to 30 people and injuring many others.


There was also an explosion at the Borno Express Bus Park while the Monday Market also came under attack.
The Police PRO of the Borno State Police Command could not be reached as of the time of filing this report.
