Boko Haram Strikes Again in Gombe

. Urge residents to boycott elections
More than a hundred members of the Boko Haram terrorist group invaded Gombe, the capital of Gombe State early on Saturday. The terrorists fired high caliber weapons and threw leaflets which urged residents to boycott the general elections slated for next month.
The gunmen moved with ease and they were at the Jeka da Fari roundabout in the centre of Gombe at the time of filing this report. Residents confirmed that they had the time and confidence to warn people against participating in the elections.

The invasion of Gombe came about two days after a suicide bomber blew herself and about 9 others up at the Biu Main Market in Borno State. The group has also killed 5 people in Chad.
Meanwhile, Nigeria's elections were postponed to allow security forces regain control of the North Eastern region of the country.
