Another Female Suicide Bomber Kills 5 in Potiskum

As the onslaught by the Nigerian armed forces continues against the Boko Haram terrorist group, a female suicide bomber on Sunday detonated explosives, killing herself and about five other people in Ptiskum, Yobe State. A lot of people have also been taken to the hospital for injuries sustained from the explosion.


The incident occurred at a security post in a crowded market. Due to the rising wave of suicide bombing, especially those perpetrated by women, it became a norm to check people before they enter markets in the North East.
A witness however disclosed that "the lady refused to be checked at the gate to the market and an argument ensued, She let off the bomb, killing herself and five others, while many were injured."
The incident happened less than 24 hours after military forces retook Baga, a town in Borno State from the terrorists.
