"Impeach Jonathan Now", Pastors Urge National Assembly!

Members of National Assembly have been called upon to rescue Nigeria from imminent collapse by impeaching President Goodluck Jonathan.
This was contained in a release issued by a team of Concerned Pastors and Prophets of God in Nigeria and signed by their Leader, Prophet Wale Olagunju, the Presiding Bishop of Divine Seed of God Chapel Minstry, Sasa Ibadan.
According to the release, the onus fell on the National Assembly as representatives of Nigerians to apply the necessary impeachment provision as enshrined in section 143 (I-II) of the 1999 constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as amended.
Lamenting the present situation of the country when compared with dreams of founding fathers, the clerics noted that the forefathers are certainly not happy with what is on ground because their dreams have become a complete disaster.
While urging the National Assembly to gather all gross misconducts of President Jonathan and commence the impeachment process accordingly, the clerics lamented how disrespectful Jonathan had in recent time become by insulting past national leaders like former President Olusegun Obasanjo, some northern elders and calling the entire Yoruba race rascals.
Lamenting the recent tear gas of the members and the Speaker, House of Representative by the police, the clerics stated that "it is high time for the National Assembly to rise and impeach Jonathan as well as his vice, following their loss of total grip on the entity called Nigeria.  The implication of the tear gassing of the members and House of Representative Speaker, Aminu Tambuwal by the Police without anybody calling them to question was a clear indication that the centre is no more holding and mere anarchy is loosed upon the nation,” the clerics noted.
“How can the police teargas the members and the Speaker, House of Representative, it is unheard of. We have said it before; we are back to Abacha evil days, it is even worse because today, we have pulpit men who maintained sinful silence in the face of tyranny and failed in their responsibility to tell those in power the gospel truth. Should the National Assembly fail Nigerians this time,’ the clerics warned “that there may be an outbreak of another civil war”
According to the clerics, the way things are going under the watchful eyes of the present government with virtually nothing been done may lead to another civil war if care is not taking.
While condemning the recent spate of insecurity in the country especially the recent bomb explosion at Kano Central Mosque on a Friday when worshipers are gathered and scores of people were left dead and injured, the clerics opined that except when Jonathan is impeached, there seem to be no solution in sight to insurgency in Nigeria since it is apparently clear that Jonathan is no more in charge.
While urging the National Assembly to wake up before it is too late, the clerics who accused the National Assembly of being too slow to have allowed things to get this worse noted that the assignment became urgent based on the fact that President Jonathan has divided Nigeria along religious and ethnic lines.
Commenting on what could possibly be the aftermath of the impeachment, the Clerics noted that if Jonathan is impeached today, heaven will not fall, adding that those singing war choruses are only doing so to scare Nigerians away from reality.
