Tambuwal Shelves Presidential Ambition!

Indications emerged on Tuesday that the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon Aminu Waziri Tambuwal has quit the presidential race. Just days ago, Tambuwal who recently defected to the All Progressives Congress accepted the party's presidential nomination forms bought for him by some members of the House.
The Anchor gathered that the move was preceded by advice from some leaders within the party.
Hon Tambuwal confirmed the suspension of his ambition via a statement in which he disclosed that he had to forgo his ambition as a sacrifice for the unity and cohesion of the APC.

Tambuwal stated that other aspirants like Gen Muhammadu Buhari, Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Governor Rochas Okorocha and Sam Nda-Isaiah are all eminently qualified and capable of providing the leadership the country needs.
The Anchor has however gathered that Hon. Tambuwal might settle for the Sokoto State governorship race and take his time to face the presidential race in years to come.
