Court Dismisses Case Against Nyanya Bombing Suspect

A Federal High Court, sitting in the Federal Capital Territory, on Monday dismissed the two charges of terrorism brought against Aminu Ogwuche, the suspected mastermind of the bombing of the Nyanya Motor Park, Abuja.
The court based the decision to dismiss the charges on what it termed lack of diligent prosecution by the Federal Government.

Ogwuche, who once served in the army is a son of a retired Colonel. He was repatriated from Sudan where he escaped to after the two explosions he allegedly masterminded killed more than 200 people within a spate of two weeks in the second quarter of the year.
He is believed to also be one of the bomb experts of the dreaded Boko Haram terrorist group.
