Zambia's President, Michael "Cobra" Sata, Dies in London

Michael Chilufya Sata, the President of Zambia has died.
77-year-old Sata passed on in London on Tuesday. There had been concerns about the President's health earlier in the year, especially as he stopped appearing at public functions. With days to his country's 50th independence anniversary, the President left for a medical check-up in London, which happened to be his last.

Back in 2008, he suffered a heart attack and was taken to Milpark Hospital in Johannesburg, South Africa where he was stabilized.
Sata, nicknamed "King Cobra", was elected as the country's 5th President in September, 2011 on the platform of the Patriotic Front, a party he formed years earlier.
During Zambia's colonial rule, he worked as a policeman, later a railway officer
