Maku, Obanikoro, Others Resign to Pursue Guber Ambitions

Seven Ministers on Wednesday tendered their resignation letters as they attended what would be their last Federal Executive Council meeting. The affected Ministers are those who have ambitions of governing their states.
They are Labaran Maku, Minister for Information (Nassarawa), Musiliu Obanikoro, Minister of State for Defence (Lagos), Samuel Ortom, Minister of State for Trade and Industry (Benue), Nyesom Wike, Minister of State for Education (Rivers), Emeka Worgu, Minister of Labour (Abia), Dr. Onyebuchi Chukwu, Health Minister (Ebonyi) and Dairus Ishaku, Minister of State for Niger Delta (Taraba).
President Jonathan had given all Ministers that have governorship dreams till October 20 to resign their positions.
The President took time to read out the names of the Ministers to newsmen during a break session.
