Boko Haram Abducts Another 30 in Borno

In another attack, days after the collapse of the ceasefire agreement believed to have been reached between the Federal Government and the Boko Haram terrorist group, the sect has abducted another 30 adolescents. Some of the latest kidnap victims are girls as young as 11.

Alhaji Shettima Maina, a chief of Mafa, a village about 50km east of Maiduguri confirmed that young boys and girls were seized from his region by terrorists over the weekend. “They took all boys aged 13 and over… and all girls aged 11 and more. According to our information, 30 young people were abducted in the last two days,” he said.
The chief also pointed out that 17 people were killed in Ndongo, a nearby village.
The terrorist group is still holding on to more than 200 girls abducted from a secondary school in Borno State in April.
Meanwhile, Cameroonian forces disclosed on Sunday that they killed 30 members of the group during an attack on the country's territory.
