Pope Francis May Be Assassinated, Envoy Warns

The Vatican has been warned about plots to terminate the life of Pope Francis by the Islamic terror group, Isil as he plans to tour some countries including Albania and Turkey.
Iraq's ambassador to the Holy See, Habeeb Al Sadr, has warned that the 77-year-old Pope might be in
danger as he undertakes his first visit to a country with Muslim majority this weekend. He also spoke on threats when he visits Turkey in November.
Isil has made public their plans to establish a caliphate in Rome and hoist their flag at the Basilica of St. Peter's seen as the seat of the Catholic church.
It will be recalled that Pope John Paul II survived an assassination attempt decades ago when he was shot twice while on a papal visit. He later openly stated that he had forgiven the assassin who was handed a life sentence.
