Abass was until his demise the "Mr. Connectivity" of Ibadan, he knew who needed what and how to get it per time. His extensive connections across the social circles were always used to the utmost advantage and he was one of the few who could boast of cutting across all celebrity cliques in the ancient city, regardless of age.
His networks cut across business, political as well as social boundaries. He was particularly close to the Governor of Oyo State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi.
The Anchor gathered that he was on his way to check on his wife who was hospitalized when he suffered a heart attack on Tuesday evening.
