"Governor Fayemi is My Brother, I Wish Him Well"- Fayose

The Governor-elect of Ekiti State, Mr. Peter Ayodele Fayose has called for peace in Ekiti State. While responding to messages on Twitter on Saturday evening, the Governor-elect pointed out that he is not harbouring any had feelings against Governor Kayode Fayemi who he described as his brother.It will be recalled that Mr. Fayose played a part in the electoral victory of Dr. Fayemi back in 2010 as he worked for the Action Congress even before he officially left the Peoples Democratic Party.

On his twitter handle, @GovAyoFayose, he tweeted "In all these, I wish my brother, the incumbent Gov @kfayemi well. No hard feelings. Ekiti is greater than our political aspirations #PEACE."
Fayose continued that "I am a man of honour. I won't fight people for turning the truth on its head. Bitterness delivers no results. Ekiti's growth is the priority.
For me, this is not about APC or PDP, neither is it about Fayose or Fayemi. It is about an Ekiti State developed for generations to come."
Trouble started in the state on Thursday after it was rumoured that Mr. Fayose slapped a judge in the premises of the High Court in Ado Ekiti. By Thursday evening, Aderiye Omolafe, one of the ardent supporters who accompanied the Governor-elect to court was gunned down.
Governor Kayode Fayemi's office and a number of vehicles were torched on Friday morning by an angry mob. A dusk to dawn curfew was imposed as a result of the disturbance.
Meanwhile, Mr. Wale Fapohunda, the Ekiti State Attorney-General has openly stated that Justice Adeyeye said Mr. Ayo Fayose did not slap him.
