DEAR DEIDRE: I AM ready to settle down with a woman but I worry I have missed the boat.
For various reasons I’ve never been in a long-term relationship but now I feel I really want to meet someone and start a family.
I’m 37. I’ve tried online dating but it’s not for me. I have hobbies but they are male-orientated – football, darts, etc.
I do socialise but it is hard to meet women my age this way or those I do meet don’t share my values.
I’ve always wanted to be a dad but in the right way, after settling with a woman I want to be with long-term.
I am starting to feel like giving up.
DEIDRE SAYS: I do feel for you but there is plenty of time.
Online dating isn’t for everyone so try joining a new club or volunteering where there are women you will have something in common to talk about to break the ice.
My e-leaflet Finding The Love Of Your Life will give you more ideas.
