Sarumi-Aliyu Reacts As Makinde Returns, Says "God Has Answered Our Prayers"

Vocal politician and convener of the BASA Foundation, Mrs. Bolanle Sarumi-Aliyu has thanked everyone that joined her in praying for Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State. It will be recalled that she urged all Oyo State indigenes across the world to fast and pray for Governor Makinde on April 1.
While reacting to the Governor's declaration that test results have confirmed that he is free from the dreaded Corona Virus, Sarumi-Aliyu said "all praises to God who heard our cry and healed our Governor.
I want to specially thank everyone that joined us in praying from all over the world".
Speaking further, she said "I appreciate all religious leaders for being there for us, for the immeasurable support. I want to specially thank the Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland, Edo and Delta States, Alhaji Daud Akinola, all members of the state exco of the People's Democratic Party, all members of our esteemed party, all teachers and other unions who joined us in lifting our voices to God. On behalf of the less privileged and the masses in Oyo State, we thank God for answering us speedily. We know that God has got us in Oyo State in His hands and we are grateful to Him".
She went on to appreciate all individuals and corporate bodies that have so far donated to support Oyo State in the fight against COVID-19.
In his message earlier, Governor Makinde had acknowledged the prayers as he stated that he was "deeply moved by your prayers and support throughout this period".
The Governor, who has since resumed duties has assured that the State Government will decontaminate some areas, especially public places in the state. "We will decontaminate places where we have control over. We will also talk to banks and the organised private sector, they can decontaminate their areas", he said.
