Oyo Lawmaker Gives Out Birthing Kits, Felicitates With Muslims

As part of his campaign promises to improve the health condition of the people of his constituency if elected, Hon. Yusuf Adebisi, the member representing Ibadan South West State Constituency 1 in the Oyo State House of Assembly, has distributed birthing kits to about 500 expectant mothers.
The health mission programme which was held at Ita Foko Primary Healthcare Centre, Foko, Ibadan, was in collaboration with Hacey Health Initiative and Aspire Coronation Trust Foundation.

While addressing the beneficiaries, Adebisi stated that he wanted the people of his constituency to have easy access to good health services. He noted that the large turnout of constituents for the programme was a pointer for the need to take care of the people, health-wise and he promised that he will continue to give back to the people of his constituency.
He disclosed that the idea of distributing birthing kits to the expectant mothers was a way of taking up the health mission from the foundation level, by making sure that the health of the younger generation is well taken care of.
He assured that the renovation of the Health Centre located at Ita Foko would commence soon. Adebisi, who is the Deputy Chief Whip of the House of Assembly, also used the opportunity to felicitate with Muslims in his constituency and the state at large on the celebration of Eid-el-Kabir, urging them to love one another and pray for peace and unity in the state.
The representative of the Hacey Health Initiative and Aspire Coronation Trust Foundation, Kehinde Babalola charged the constituents on the need for hygienic practices and proper health education.
