Ogun Police Nabs Fleeing Iwoye Gunman


Oladosu Nureni a.k.a ‘Otelee’, who fled after shooting two people dead in Iwoye Village via Ilaro in March, has eventually been arrested by men of the Ogun State Police Command. He was arrested on Wednesday, 7th August.  
While confirming the arrest, the Public Relations Officer of the Ogun State Police Command said “the suspect, on the 27th March, 2019 reportedly killed one Onifade Ajani with a Dane gun for yet to be known reason, and while the community people were trying to apprehend him, he used the same Dane gun to kill another person, Olatunji Ayinla by name and has been on the run since then”.

He started further that “on the 7th August 2019, the Area Commander, ACP Chris Adeyeri received information that the suspect has been  sighted at Irogun-Ishaga village, consequent upon which he mobilized his men and stormed the village where the suspect was arrested at about 10:20pm”.
Items recovered from him were listed to include a locally made gun, gun powder and assorted charms.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Bashir Makama has ordered the immediate transfer of the suspect to the Homicide Section of the State Criminal investigation and Intelligence Department for proper investigation and prosecution.
