Lawyer Offers To Give Witness Glasses To Read Evidence Before Akwa Ibom Tribunal

The unending drama at the Akwa Ibom State Governorship election  tribunal continued in Uyo on Friday August 2,2019 when the 1st respondent's witness from Ukanafun LGA, Mr.Ime Umanah suddenly became visually impaired and couldn't read out exhibits given to him by the Petitioners counsel, Prof. Ernest Ojukwu, SAN.


Prof. Ojukwu SAN, out of compassion, offered his pair of glasses to enable the witness read out exhibits to the hearing of the tribunal.

Umanah apparently felt uncomfortable as a result of massive revelations of electoral malpractices in his ward in Ukanafun Local Government Area as no accreditation or sign of accreditation took place on March 9, 2019 governorship election in the state.

Umanah emerged from the witness box with his trousers wet. It could not be immediately ascertained if the wetness was sweat or urine.

Commenting on the development, an eye witness who preferred not to be named, said "Ime Umanah came all the way from Ukanafun to lie and defend the indefensible, the outcome is the disgrace now".
