"We Dey Kampe", Taye Currency Dispels Attack Rumour

Fuji musician, Taye Akande Adebisi, fondly referred to as Taye Currency has debunked the rumour that his mum was shot dead in the post-election violence rumoured to have engulfed Ibadan on Saturday.

In a message on his Facebook profile, Currency's publicist, Tope Eluyefa posted "we dey kampe!!! people should beware of some rumours as regards Taye Currency and his mother over any attack. We are good and still basking in our victory and if anyone is planning such, we appeal to them to kindly desist from such unnecessary attacks. We however appeal to our fans and loyalists to remain calm and be law abiding".
Though efforts made to speak with Currency were unsuccessful as his phone was off, Godogbo, one of the main members of his band confirmed on phone that all was well with the musician and his mother.
Currency's first son, Yusuf Adebisi won a House of Assembly seat in Saturday's election. It will be recalled that the musician was about the main act at campaign rallies of the People's Democratic Party in a number of South West states.
Ibadan got in the news after a federal lawmaker, Honourable Temitope Sugar Olatoye was murdered on his way from where he had gone to vote on Saturday.
