ADC Caucus Throws Weight Behind Buhari's Second Term Bid

Feelers within  political circles in Oyo State are pointing in the direction that President Muhammadu Buhari's re-election bid might have received a boost, albeit from an unusual angle.

 A Caucus of the Oyo State chapter of African Democratic Congress, ADC, said it is working to support President Buhari because of his numerous achievements in office.

According to a communique issued after the caucus meeting which had 29 members in attendance on Wednesday, one if the decisions reached was "to support the President, Mohammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in his second term bid".

It was also contained in the communique signed by Victor Oyelayo that the party will "inform our supporters to support him as well" and "to protect our votes.'

Efforts to reach the party's executive committee for the ADC's position were unsuccessful as of the time of filing the report.
