Have you too heard that the Osun
State House of Assembly announced on state radio on Wednesday its
intention to get Muyiwa Ige, son of Late Chief Bola Ige arrested?
Well, the America trained Architect is reported to be really angry with the lawmakers.
A source close to the Ige scion informed
PMParrot in Osogbo that the former commissioner for Lands, Physical
Planning and Urban Development in Osun State is not furious for a major
reason.
According to our source “Muyiwa does not joke with the name his late Attorney General father left behind.
Our reporters were not able to reach the Esa Oke born technocrat as his telephone was not reachable.
“It is not fair for Honourable members of the Assembly to order for the arrest of somebody that did not offend them in any way.
“They said they invited him to the House
via a radio announcement. Haba, is this how they run their House of
Assembly? Why do they have staff and House Clerks who should arrange for
a proper letter of invitation?
“If they want to play politics, they
should look for somebody else to play it with and not Muyiwa Ige who
served the state with everything he had when he was a commissioner and
he is still serving.
“And if it is Governor Rauf Aregbesola
they are trying to gun for, they should be bold to face the Governor and
leave M.I alone.”
PMParrot investigation has, however,
confirmed that the move by the Assembly to invite Muyiwa and some others
was in connection with a land matter somewhere at Ilobu.
The former Commissioner was reported to
have taken some steps on the land issue while he was a sitting
commissioner which the lawmakers wanted him to come and explain.
An unconfirmed source close to the
governor informed PMParrot on Wednesday evening that the House actually
prevented Governor Aregbesola from laying the foundation of a project on
the same land in contention earlier in the week.
We were also informed that both Governor
Aregbesola and Arc Ige spoke on the phone on Wednesday evening. Though
details of their discussion was not revealed to PMParrot, we were
informed by our source that the former Commissioner is likely to meet
with the legislators on Thursday.
Our reporters were not able to reach the Esa Oke born technocrat as his telephone was not reachable.
