Olanrewaju Agiri, the Sports Editor of Parrot Xtra Magazine,
was on Thursday honoured by the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB)
chapter of the Federation of Oyo State Students’ Union (FOSSU) with an award in
recognition of his outstanding leadership qualities, sportsmanship and
passionate professional capabilities towards the development of the media
industry.
The award was officially presented at the Ring Road, Ibadan office of Parrot Xtra Magazine by a team that included Ekundina Segun Elvis, Sanusi Aminat Omotolani, the Vice President of the union’s FUNAAB chapter and Yusuf Quadri Ademola as well as Kolade Afeez Oalide, who represented the President, Akinola Nurudeen.
Ekundina Segun, fondly called “Comrade Elvis” disclosed that Mr. Agiri was deemed fit for the honour because “he is one of the few people doing so much with very little. He is a shining example for the younger generation”.
While thanking the union for the honor, Agiri said “this is a sign that in all we do, we must be aware that people are watching”. He also assured members of the union of support
