Says "it's the devil's work"
The Ogun State Police Command has arrested one Pastor Adekunle Francis for forcefully having unlawful carnal knowledge of one 17-year old Dolapo. The command's spokesman, ASP Abimbola Oyeyemi disclosed that "the suspect who was arrested on the 22nd of November was said to have lured the girl into an uncompleted building under the pretence of praying and anointing her and forcefully had sex with her".
Oyeyemi also stated that "the victim later complained at Sango Police Station and the DPO, SP Akinsola Ogunwale dispatched a team of detectives to the scene at Ipamesan, Sango Ota where the victim was promptly arrested. On interrogation, he confessed to the commission of the offence attributing it to the work of the devil".
The Commissioner of Police CP Ahmed Iliyasu has ordered the immediate transfer of the case to the Anti-Human trafficking and Child Labour Unit of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for further investigation.
