NFF confirms Ibadan, Kaduna For Federation Cup Semi Finals

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has confirmed Ibadan and Kaduna as venues for the semi-final matches of this year’s Federation Cup scheduled for September 18th and 25th respectively.
FC Ifeanyi Uba of Anambra State will lock horns with the giant killers, Crown FC of Ogbomosho, in the first semi-final slated for the Ahmadu Bello Stadium in Kaduna on September 18, while last year’s finalists, Nassarawa United FC will tackle Enyimba International FC at the Lekan Salami Sports Complex, Adamasingba in Ibadan.

The Oyo State FA Chairman, Chief James Odeniran, while reacting, expressed his joy and delight at playing host to such high profile match, as he noted that it has been long Ibadan hosted a football match of that magnitude.
He thus pledged to put all machinery in motion towards ensuring a hitch-free encounter and adequate awareness to attract a full stand which he claimed will further encourage the NFF to bring more high profile matches to Ibadan.

Also, the women's Federation Cup semi-finals will take place on September 21st in Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu.
Meanwhile, the winners of the two semi-finals will battle for the coveted trophy in a venue yet to be announced, though Lagos, which has hosted the past four finals may likely again host the final.
