The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Oyo State Chapter, under the leadership of Adeniyi Alebiosu has congratulated the newly sworn in Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Barrister Abayomi Oke over his appointment.
The Chairman of the association, while addressing sports writers in the state during the SWAN Congress held at the Obafemi Awolowo Stadium, said “on behalf of the sports writers in the state, I congratulate Mr. Abayomi Oke over his new assignment as the new Commissioner for Youth and Sports in the state.”
He enjoined him to contribute his best towards the development of sports in the state, as he expressed hope that his appointment at this very point in time will bring the state’s sporting activities back to greatness.
Alebiosu commended Governor Abiola Ajimobi for giving adequate recognition to the Youth in his cabinet, particularly someone like Barrister Yomi Oke in the area of sports.
He promised the support of sports writers in the state for the newly sworn in commissioner and also prayed for his success throughout his tenure in office.
