SDP Debunks Rumours of Seyi Makinde's Exit

The Social Democratic Party, SDP on Monday debunked rumours that its governorship candidate in the 2015 elections in Oyo State, Engr Seyi Makinde has dumped the party for the PDP.
SDP's Publicity Secretary in Oyo State, Alhaji Akeem Azeez who signed a statement in reaction to the alleged defection said it is "far from the truth. Engr Seyi Makinde has not had any discussion whether at National and state levels of the party where he made mention of his defection to PDP.


Engr Seyi Makinde is still bonafide Member of Social Democratic Party SDP and Major financial member at both the national and state levels. He is the leader of the party in Oyo state.

The 2015 governorship candidate of SDP, Engr Makinde has committed his resources to the growth of the party before, during and after April 11 elections".
Azeez also "acknowledged the concern of party members, admirers and eminent citizens who have called to confirm the authenticity of the claim" as he urged unsuspecting members of the public to disregard the  rumor.
